Oregon Employment Department expands iCapture™, its Document Management &

Imaging System

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--May 10, 2005

The Oregon Employment Department has awarded a contract to Impression Technology to expand its use of iCapture in processing the multiple types of forms and documents received on a daily basis by the Department. In mid-2003, Impression Technology completed a highly successful implementation of iCapture within the Department’s Tax Division. Following the production operations of this system, the Department published documents that the iCapture solution not only produced the expected operational savings, but the system significantly improved the time in which the Department could process the peak volumes of documents it received during the year.

Under the current contract, Impression Technology will install a separate processing ‘line’ of iCapture, with the software customized to support the processing of the forms and documents received by the Benefits Division of the Department. The project will take advantage of the architecture of the iCapture system in that the new expanded configuration will provide the Department a fully redundant iCapture system within the Enterprise. During normal system operations, one iCapture processing ‘line’ will be dedicated to Tax, with the second ‘line’ used for the processing of Benefits related forms and documents. In the event of a hardware failure on either line however, the remaining operational line will be capable of supporting the operational requirements of both the Tax and Benefits Divisions.

This system will be delivered to the Department in the summer of 2005 and the Impression scope of work includes installation, training, testing and on-going maintenance and support.
