Ohio Department of Taxation selects iCapture™
WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--August, 2005
Impression Technology, acting as a subcontractor to Unisys Corporation,
will install an iCapture system at the Ohio Department of Taxation
in September of this year and this system will be in full production
operations in October, 2005. Under the terms of the current contract,
Impression Technology will work with Unisys and IBML to implement
a highly integrated solution for the processing of the Ohio Consolidated
Activity Tax (CATS) form as the business requirements require
significant interaction between the Unisys supplied Remittance
and Lockbox system and the Impression iCapture system for automated
data capture. In addition to the complex nature of the integration,
the project is also being performed under a very accelerated schedule
as the Department wishes to begin using this new solution at the
earliest possible date. To support this effort, Impression completed
a significant portion of the customization at its facilities in
Walnut Creek, California and arrived in Columbus with a combined
installation and development team so that final work could be
completed on-site as the Department began testing and identified
changes and enhancements that were desired prior to production
operations.
“This is a very important engagement for Impression”
stated Mike Tokuyama, the President of Impression Technology.
“We have an opportunity to demonstrate to the Department
that we are capable of successfully completing a complex project
within a very demanding schedule and we will be providing them
an iCapture system that could easily be expanded well beyond the
processing of the CATS form. We are committed to the success of
the current effort and equally committed to establishing a long
term relationship with ODOT, just as we have with all other Impression
clients to date.”
